How it all began
When I first started thinking about starting my own service based startup does design and development projects, I had no idea it would fuel my passion in entrepenurship as much as it did. After several years running Epicio as a Co-founder and design Director, I set my sights on moving to Boston to find an opportunity at a product company. Through a funny set of circumstances while visiting Cambridge, MA, and going through interviews at other places like the Museum of Science, I ended up getting connected with HubSpot.
After I got introduced and started chatting with their team, I learned that had ideas to start a new hybrid interactive design team. I met with many people over two days and I was incredibly forunate to have offer extended to me, and I accepted to join the booming and bustling HubSpot rocketship.
The Company
HubSpot develops cloud-based, inbound marketing software that allows businesses to transform the way that they market online. Its service portfolio includes social media publishing and monitoring, blogging, SEO, website content management, email marketing, marketing automation, and reporting and analytics. HubSpot’s sales application enables sales and service teams to have effective conversations with leads and prospects.

Designer (Co-op)
Laura was the first co-op to join my design team at HubSpot. She was a passionate young designer, who always chased her curiosity and made sure to ask questions and explore the details of her projects to ensure what she delivered was on point. I look forward to seeing her become a fantastic designer in the Boston area, and i'll never forget her passion for Orca whales and vegan eats.

Gabriela was an amazing intern who hailed from Wellesley College, and joined the team to work on design & front-end development. When she first joined, I knew she was already incredibly smart but I didn't realize how good she already was. I look forward to seeing her grow into a brilliant designer and front-end developer, and i'll never forget her love of foxes!

When I first met Ben, it was easy to see how smart he was and how incredibly passionate he was about becoming a strong developer (and eventually engineer). I'll never forget the first time I tripped over Matt's (aka "Red Beard") work on Dribbble, it was beautiful. After a few conversations & interviews, I was incredibly happy to learn he accepted an offer to join my team. I knew the quality of our teams work at HubSpot was going to skyrocket, and it did. Matt is one of the most creative art directors i've ever met, his attention to detail when doing ilustrations, icons, or anything else is unparalleled.
